Clara L. (Russell) Cross, 84, of Evansville, went to meet Jesus on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, after passing away at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center.
She was very loving, kind, and gentle woman. If your life was touched by Clara, you wouldn't forget it. She had a way to make you feel special. She loved the Lord and her family. She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church. Let us celebrate her life here on Earth and her passage into eternal joy and happiness.
Clara was preceded in death by her grandson, Joel McBride; parents, Robert and Mabel (Tooley) Russell; sisters, Lucille Wessel and Betty Merkel; and brothers, William and Fred Russell.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eldon Cross; daughters, Kathy (Dave) Lovelace, Margaret (Fred) Schnarr and Michelle (Jeff) Carr; grandchildren, Rebecca (Stone) Schnarr, Andrew Schnarr, Isaac McBride, Sara Wingfield, Reba Lovelace, and Sam Lovelace, Zachary, Brett and Daniel Allega; five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Jacob, Piper and Clara; and brother, Jim (Susie) Russell.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 13, 2015, at Simpson United Methodist Church, 2201 W Illinois St, Evansville, IN 47712. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel
