His graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Clyde was born on August 18, 1920 in Bloomington, a son to Clyde W. And Alvina Schroeder Hering.
Surviving are two brothers, Arnold (Betty) Hering, of Normal, Wayne (Cherie) Hering of MA; two nephews, Dan (Theresa) Hering of Bloomington, Roger (Betsy) Hering of MA; and a niece, Joanne (Douglas) Ready of MA.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Loren.
Clyde proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 during World War II serving in the 2nd Armored Division. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and was stationed in North Africa, and Italy.
He was employed at Pantagraph Printing and Stationary Company for over 36 years as a press operator. Clyde was an avid Chicago Cub fan.
