Anna Mae Denney, 81, of Georgetown and formerly of Danville, passed away at 10:12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.

Anna was born on May 23, 1933 in Metcalf, Illinois to Emory and Ruth (Walter) Boyer. Anna married Alonzo "Bill" Denney on Dec. 27, 1953 and the two shared over 53 years together before his death in March of 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janice McDaniel and two brothers, Roy Boyer and Wayne Boyer.

Survivors include her four children, John (Terrie) Denney, Lonnie (Mary Ann) Denney, William Denney and Betty King; her brother, Gene Boyer; her two sisters, Mary (Beryle) Vaulmer and Julie Harper; 14 grandchildren, including her granddaughter Bethany Mingus, who has taken care of her and 24 great-grandchildren.

She attended Cates, Indiana grade schools. Anna worked in a box factory in Danville and later at Continental Filling for several years.
