BOARDMAN - There will be a funeral service held on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, with Pastor Jerry Hunt officiating, for Larry Edward Kirby, 73, formerly of Warren, who passed away peacefully, early Monday morning, with his loving daughter and grandchildren by his side.

Larry will always be remembered by his family and friends for strong faith in God, his personality and the love he showed for his family.

He was born Dec. 20, 1941, in Lock Haven, Pa., the son of John and Lillian (Herr) Kirby, and moved to the Warren area as a young child.

Larry was a 1959 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

He was employed with Anchor Freight Company at the General Motors Lordstown Plant as a fuel man and retired in 1996.

Larry was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and the Teamsters Local 377.

Larry was an avid baseball fan and his favorite team was the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed lifting weights, listening to music, and playing softball, but he especially loved his daughter, Rachael, and his grandchildren, all to whom he devoted his life.

Larry leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories a daughter, Rachael Kirby, with whom he made his home; a son, Larry Kirby of Maine; and his six grandchildren, Sarah, John, Zack, Will, Samantha, and Gracie, who were the apples of his eye.

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, William Shaw.

Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman.
