Troy was born January 27, 1943 in Laurel Co., KY. He was retired from the Louisville Water Co. and a member of Valley View Church. He served in the Army Reserves. He enjoyed hunting and serving people, but ultimately he loved his friends and family especially his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; sister, Tootsie Embry; nephews, Eddie Cravens and Chad Blackwell; niece, Cami Jo Blackwell and granddaughter, Hannah Dye.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Volz Wells; daughters, Starla Clark (Phil) and Mandi Dye (Steven); mother, Myrtle Anderson; grandchildren, Teejay, Kelaiah, Faith, Sarai, Kamy and Isaiah; sisters-in-law, Sandy Vanatta (Bill) and Denise Blackwel l(Jackie); nieces, Betty Sue Schulten, Mary Ann Sims, Tammy Cravens and Callie Smith; and nephews, Bill Vannatta and Judd Blackwell.
His service will be on Saturday, 2pm at the Valley View Church with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1-8pm at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Services and also after 10am on Saturday at his church.
