Joseph R. Marhulik, 80, of Niles, died at 1:49PM Saturday February 7, 2015 at The Vista Center at The Ridge in Mineral Ridge.
He was born December 30, 1934 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania the son of Joseph and Anna Peperak Marhulik.
He attended Warren G. Harding High School, was employed for 35 years at Packard Electric before retiring in 1988, then assumed a full time job as “Papa Joe” to his beloved grandchildren.
Joe was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, very active in the community with The Democratic Party, Boy Scouts of America, Youngstown Hearing and Speech, and thrived on participating in the school and sports activities of his grandchildren.
His wife Frances “Flo” Kieta Marhulik whom he married May 26, 1956 died December 9, 2013.
He will be deeply missed by three sons, Joseph M. Marhulik and his wife Catherine of Champion, James Marhulik and his wife Kathleen of Waterford, Michigan, and John Marhulik and his wife Nancy of Niles, a brother Eugene Marhulik of Cortland , seven grandchildren, Joseph (Jessica Champion), John (Heather), Samuel, Katherine (Calib Willis), Allison, Benjamin, and Max, and two great-grandsons, Matthew and Nolyn Marhulik. Also Justin (Cassondra) Richardson and Paige Wakeland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Joann Shaffer.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
