David Paul Derry, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Canton, Illinois, died February 10 at 1:50 am at Kettering Hospital.

He was born on August 14, 1944 in Canton, Illinois, to Paul E. and Evelyn M. (Warner) and married Pamela (Cooper) and later married Joy (Blazier). She survives.

Surviving are 4 children, Ron (Deanna) Derry of Ft. Wayne, IN, Cassie (James) McKinley of New Palestine, IN), Michael Derry of Springfield, Ohio Mellie Derry of Springfield, Ohio, 3 grandchildren, Hannah McKinley, Maddie McKinley and Aidan Derry;1 brother, Dennis and Brenda Derry, 1 brother-in-law, Mark and Carla Blazier, and 10 nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

David worked at International Harvester in Canton, Illinois and then Springfield, Ohio for 52 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Scottish Rites. He was a devout father and grandfather and an avid Bears and a Illini fan.

Visittion will be held in Adkins Funeral Home, Enon, Thursday, February 12, 2015 5 to 8 PM.

Burial be held at a later date in Canton, IL.
