He was born at Newark. Wirt County, W.Va., a son of the late John and Kate Foutty.
Mr. Foutty was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1066 in Barberton.
He leaves his son, Robert C. Foutty, in Florida; brothers, Tillman in Florida, and Gilbert Foutty, Akron; sisters, Mrs. Velma Ruble and Mrs. Noma Rogers, both of Newark, Wirt County; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted at the Schlup Funeral Chapel in Akron by Dr. James Moore. Burial was in Akron's Greenlawn Cemetery.
