Janet H. Hardin, 78, of Rock Hill, SC, died Monday, February 9, 2015, at Chandler Place Senior Living. Born July 12, 1936, in Chesnee, SC, she was the daughter of the late J. K. and Rachel Ezell Hayes, and widow of William "Bill" K. Hardin.

Mrs. Hardin was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. A graduate of Winthrop College, she retired from teaching First grade at Woodland Heights Elementary after 30 years of service. She enjoyed reading, game shows, Gamecock sports, fishing, spoiling grandchildren, and loved garage sales.

Surviving are her daughter, Lori Hardin Bowers and son-in-law Charlie of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren, Chuck Bowers and Jordan Bowers, both of Fort Mill, SC; sister, Norma Banks (George); and brother, J. K. Hayes, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, February 13, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Clyde Hardin and eulogist, Mrs. Lori Bowers. Visitation will follow the service. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, February 13, 2015, at the home of Lori and Charlie Bowers, 226 Edgewater Way, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
