Glen E. Graves of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, formerly of Hazel Green, Kentucky, widower of the late Olive Laverne Perry Graves departed this life Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the age of 93 years, 8 months and 1 day. He was the son of the late Floyd D. and Mary Brunker Graves born in Colorado on October 5, 1925. He was a teacher at Red River Valley Elementary, Rogers Elementary and Campton Elementary for thirty years. He was a former Minister of the United Methodist Church in Hazel Green, Kentucky. His father, Floyd D. Graves, was a World War I Veteran. Glen is survived by two sons, Levon Graves and wife, Lea of Vancleve, Kentucky and Bob Graves and wife, Lisa of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; one daughter, Twila Pollard and husband, Ray of Lexington, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Emily Barnett, Edward Graves and Anthony Graves; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Laverne Perry Graves; his parents, Floyd D. and Mary Brunker Graves; and two sisters, Rose Mary Taper and Deberta Graves. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
