She was born Nov. 13, 1925, in St. Peter, to Joseph and Catherine Knoll Billinger.
On Nov. 27, 1945, she married Alex Geier in Garden City. He died Dec. 20, 2003.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alex Geier Jr.; a daughter, Karen Geier ; three brothers, Al Billinger, Clarence Billinger and Ben Billinger; and three sisters, Mary Heile, Florianna Wright and Lena Romite.
A lifetime resident of Finney County, Mrs. Geier had lived in Holcomb and Garden City.
Survivors include six sons, John Geier of Dodge City, Duane Geier of Ordway, Galen Geier, Greg Geier and Mike Geier , all of Garden City, and Brian Geier of Jetmore; two daughters, Rose Ann Minet of Sand Springs, Okla., and Diane Ogoesby of Ordway; a brother, LaVerne Billinger of Florida; two sisters, Betty Spangler of California, and Edna Biernacki of Canon City, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City.
