Rev. Verlin M. Wandrey, of Hartford, entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday February 3, 2015 at the age of 83.

He was born on January 1, 1932 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Rev. Rueben and Pearl (nee Schneider) Wandrey. Verlin was united in marriage to Germaine Ott on June 18, 1954 in Forest Junction, WI. He graduated from Markesan , WI High School , North Central College and Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, Illinois.

He is survived by his beloved wife Germaine; two daughters, Denise (Doug) Schlotthauer and Shari (Tim) Purman; cherished grandchildren, Nate (Amy), Nick, and David (fiancée Katie Roth) Schlotthauer and Caitlin and Ben Purman; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Will Schlotthauer; Swedish son Bo Westman and family; sister Shirley Bradow. Verlin is further survived by many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Vern Bradow.

Verlin lived his life through his faith in God and made an impact on many lives. He loved spending time with his family and friends at the lake home and enjoyed all sports especially golf. He was an enthusiastic fan at all his grandchildren's activities, never missing an opportunity to encourage them and cheer them on.

Verlin faithfully served United Methodist churches in Gillett, Port Washington, Oak Creek, Milwaukee, and Hartford. After his retirement, he served as Pastor of Visitation in West Bend.

Verlin was an active member of the Hartford Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow.

He served on numerous committees for the Wisconsin United Methodist Conference.

Funeral services for Verlin will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church (738 West Monroe Ave, Hartford) with Pastor Paul Johnsen officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday at the Church from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00p.m.

Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Wisconsin.
