She was born on March 7, 1932 in Galesburg, Illinois the daughter of Burrell and Nellie Wilkins Harrison. She married Samuel Robertson, Sr. on September 10, 1948 in Galesburg, Illinois and he preceded her in death on June 18, 1999.
Surviving are her children: Cynthia Guilliams of Vermont, Illinois, Rhonda (Michael) Melton of Temecula California, and Samuel “Rob” (Patty) Robertson, Jr. of Escondido, California; two sisters, Natalie Steck of Galesburg, Illinois and Elizabeth “Petie” St. George of Galesburg, Illinois; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and one great-grandchild.
Lena was raised in Galesburg and attended Galesburg Schools. She worked in home healthcare and was also the Bingo Bus Coordinator for Bingo trips while living in California. She loved to go to the casino and also enjoyed making things and being crafty. Lena was very proud of her family and loved them dearly.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M on Friday, February 13, 2015 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, Illinois. Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate. Memorials may be left to Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Hurd Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
