Poughkeepsie - Dennis J. Doyle, Born April 22, 1949 in Poughkeepsie, NY passed away peacefully in his home on February 7th. He is preceded by his father, William and brother, James Doyle. He is survived by his mother Janet (Johnson) Doyle; his fiancé Carole VanTassell and her children Gene Ringwood Jr and Jacqueline Campion as well as her 7 grand children; his brother; David (Mary Alice) Doyle; his sisters Mary (Tom) Kihlmire, Elizabeth Doyle & Maureen (Mike) Talvi-Sterbenz; his children: William, Daniel (Rebecca), Steven (Denise), Robert (Ashley) Doyle; and his grandchildren that he adored and who will miss him greatly: Caitlin, Caleb, Grace, Peyton, Avery, Blake & Mackenzie. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and a community of friends. After graduating from Arlington High School, Dennis, went into the US Army and served in Vietnam from 1968-71. He retired from CSX after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed traveling with his fiancé, golfing and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Calling hours will be Thursday February 12th from 4-7 PM at the Wenk Funeral Home, Chatham NY. A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, 12pm at St James in Chatham, NY; followed by a reception and celebration of life at the VFW in Ghent, NY.
