Mary Annette Lombard Havard, 62, Wilmer AL, left this earthly home on February 9, 2015, to forever reside in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Annette was born September 16, 1952, in Columbus, MS, to Rev. J.L. and Mary McClantoc Lombard, who were there to welcome her in to glory land. She graduated from George County High School in Lucedale, MS in 1970. She later completed CNA program at Capps College in Mobile, and worked as a nursing assistant at Mobile Infirmary and Providence Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Thomas Elmore Havard, children Betty (Dack) Christian, Debbie (Eric) McCraney, Lori Stringfellow (Travis Roberson); grandchildren Sarah (Brent) Loper, Matthew, Jacob (Lara), Ashley Christian; Abigail, Aaron, Aliza McCraney; Daniel, Rebekah, Miriam Stringfellow; and great-grandchildren Easton Loper and "baby girl" Christian. Her surviving siblings are Larry (Mary) Lombard and Dot (Jim) Butler. She enjoyed writing and telling children's stories, cooking, traveling to the mountains and spending time with family. She loved sleepovers, baking cookies, playing games and movie nights with her children and grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of the Church of God with membership at Big Lake Heights COG in Wilmer, Al where she was an active children's teacher, led ladies devotionals and was the Youth Camp Funds Coordinator.
Arrangements are as follows: Visitation at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home at 8730 Sims Road Eight Mile, AL, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 5-8pm, with Services on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 1 pm at Big Lake Heights Church of God, 11770 Moffett Rd Wilmer, AL. Interment following at Valhalla. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Big Lake Heights Church of God for youth camp funds. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Providence Hospital, and AlaCare Home Health for the great loving care they provided to our cherished wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend.
