James B Clark was the son of Thomas J Clark and Martha A Harkins. He married Charlotte Graham in Gilmer Co. He was born North Carolina but moved to Gilmer Co. Georgia with his family. He served in the 39th Ga Inf. Co G "Gilmer Lions" After being severely wounded and captured at Vicksburg, the entire family moved to Kentucky then to Roane Co. Tennessee. James moved back to Gordon Co. then to Rome Ga. Where he died in 1912. His obituary from 1912 states he was buried in Antioch Cemetery. His grave has not been found as yet in the cemetery. This posting is a memorial.
