Billy Don Thompson, 85 of Sulphur passed away on February 8, 2015. He worked and retired as a Lab Technician for W.R. Grace. Billy was a member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church in Sulphur. He loved bird watching, woodworking and bluegrass music.

Billy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Becky Thompson of Sulphur; a daughter, Shannah and husband Jim O'Neill of Houston, TX; and a son, David Thompson of Longview, TX; 9 grandchildren, Ashleigh Poole (Kyle), Hannah Kimich (David), Katy O'Neill, Anna Breaux, Maureen O'Neill, Breanna Breaux, Matthieu Thompson, Kassidy Thompson, and Tesla Thompson; 3 great-grandchildren, Harlow, Abigail and Kennedy; and a sister, Barbara Fontenella (Abe). He was preceded in death by his parents, WC and Orba Thompson; and a brother, Raymond Thompson.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Following the graveside will be a memorial service at 11 A.M. at Henning Memorial United Methodist Church in Sulphur with Rev. Doug Cain officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 7-9 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations to be made to Outreach Program at Henning Memorial United Methodist Church, 404 S. Huntington St., Sulphur, LA 70663.
