In honoured and loving memory of Colonel Sir ARTHUR GRANT, Bart, CBE, DSO, DL, JP, 10th Baronet of Monymusk, b 14 Sept 1879, joined 12th Royal Langers 1898, served with distinction in the South African War 1899-1902. Awarded DSO and in the European War 1914-1918 as Lt Colonel 5th Gordon Highlanders, seriously wounded at Festubert 18th Jun 1915. An untiring worker for the good of his country, his county and his estate and a very true friend. Married 12th Oct 1909 EVELYN A L WOOD of Freeland, Perthshire, died 21st June 1931. “One who never turned his back, but always marked breast forward”. This tablet is placed here by his wife and their children, Evelyn, Arthur, Elspeth, Francis, Jean, Christian. And of his beloved wife born 16 Dec 1884, died 14th Feb 1976. I go where the loved who have left us dwell”
