Ms. Diane Harper, 70, of Thurmont, passed away at home on January 30, 2015. Born September 17, 1944 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late John and Norma Smith. Diane worked for many years as a veterinary technician at Woodsboro Veterinary Clinic. A longtime horse & carriage lover and equestrian enthusiast, she was a lifetime member of the American Sidesaddle Club. Diane is survived by two children, Bryan Harper & wife Sherry of Frederick and Valerie Reifschneider & husband Rob of Lamar, CO, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 13th at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15N in Frederick, followed by a horse-drawn procession to the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rose Hill Carriage Society, 1611 N. Market St., Frederick, MD, 21701.
