At the age of three, he and his family moved to Lebanon. Russ graduated from Perry Central in 1963. He then attended General Motors Institute, currently known as Kettering University. Following his education, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and served his country honorably from 1969 – 1976.
On July 31, 1965, he was married to Marian Marlene (Burgin) Bradley at the Milledgeville Methodist Church in Boone County, Indiana. Mrs. Bradley survives; they would have celebrated 50 years together this coming July.
Russ had worked for General Motors and Monolan PC Agrochemicals. For a period of time, he and his wife owned and operated a Dairy Queen store in Sturgis, Michigan. Most recently, he worked as an independent sales agent for his own company, R. Bradley & Associates, until his retirement in 2014.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His interests included music, playing the banjo and accordion, fishing with his grandsons, and painting. Russ was a faithful member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. His passion was studying and teaching God’s word.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg, Indiana, with Rev. Don Jennings, III, officiating.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, February 11, 2015, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church in Brownsburg.
Interment will follow services at Bethesda Cemetery in Hendricks County, Indiana.
