David Lee Patterson passed away on February 9, 2015. Dave was born on November 20, 1936 in Harrisburg, IL to Frank and Georgia (Atkins) Patterson, who preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Raymond Boatwright, and his wife of 42 years, Jean Rose (Keltner) Patterson

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Cynthia (Howard) Patterson; daughter Gina McBride (John) and daughter Letitia Clontz; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dave had the charisma to change the mood in the room by simply walking through the door. He left a positive impression on every person he encountered.

He was a dedicated member of East 91st Christian Church, where he served in the choir, was on the Board of Directors, taught Sunday School and worked on various committees.

Dave received his primary education in Harrisburg, IL, before attending Milligan College in Tennessee and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

While the bulk of his career was spent in Human Resources at Inland Container Corp., his other experiences included being a teacher, a radio personality, and a firefighter.

Even after retirement, Dave served in Guest Relations at Flanner and Buchanan and as a salesman at Lands End.
