Evelyn E. Hughes, 71, of Murphysboro, died Wednesday, November 3, 1993, in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born November 23, 1921, to Albert and Phoebe (Douglas) Rains.
She married Earl Hughes on September 12, 1944, in Herrin. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Robert Hughes of Murphysboro; a daughter, Earlene Keown of Murphysboro; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jim Raines of Murphysboro.
Her parents, four brothers, and three sisters preceded her in deart.
Burial in the Boucher Cemetery.
