Glenna Taylor, age 89 years of Reese, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died early Sunday morning, February 8, 2015 at McLaren Bay Hospital in Bay City. She was born on February 18, 1925, in Fairgrove. Glenna married her high school sweetheart, Robert Taylor, on June 23, 1944. She was a lifetime member of Fairgrove Presbyterian Church, where she had taught Sunday school for many years. Glenna enjoyed square dancing, camping, playing cards and spending time with her family. Surviving in addition to her husband, Bob, of 70 years; are her children; Anne and Hector Harris of Madera California, Nancy Taylor of Reese, Janet and Dan Sahr of Reese; daughter-in-law, Ruth Taylor of Essexville; sister, Shirley Farver of Reese; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son, David Taylor and a brother, Donald Wilson. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw Street, Reese. Rev. Richard Lawther, of Fairgrove Presbyterian Church will officiate, with burial in Brookside Cemetery, Fairgrove. Glenna’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 2-8 p.m., and on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church.
