Cooper, Bonnie Jean Lafon, age 70, of Radford died, Monday, February 9, 2015, at New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Radford, Va. on August 28, 1944 to the late Mahlon Lee and Gracie Bell Alley Fisher and adoptive parents Fred and Lola Gross Lafon. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Caleb Ellis. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Cooper, of Radford, children, Tommy Cooper, Jr., Dean Harris and his wife, Julie, Cassandra Allen, Star Hamilton, Sean Harris, Freddie Cooper, Billy Cooper, sisters, Dorothy Wooldridge, Delphine Con, brothers, David Funk, Jimmy Lafon, grandchildren, Casey Ellis, Cameron Ellis, Ema Harris, Elijah Harris, Brian Hamilton, William Lawrence, Cassis Cooper. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ward Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
