"Loretta J. Wentzel, 90, formerly of Reading, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 5:28 a.m. in Berks Heim, where she was a guest for 3 years.
She was the wife of the late Harold K. Wentzel, who passed away February 19, 2007. Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Plucker) Yeager.
Mrs. Wentzel is survived by her sons, Harold D. Wentzel of Laureldale and Barry L. Wentzel, husband of Linda L. Wentzel of Laureldale and her daughters: Shirley A. Hahn, wife of Roger G. Hahn of Sinking Spring; Bonnie M. Unger, wife of Thomas W. Unger of Mohrsville; and Joan M. Schweitzer of Reading.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Erma Bell.
Mrs. Wentzel is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff on A-1 unit at Berks Heim for the care they gave to their mother.
Funeral Services will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Kerry L. Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in Spies-Zion Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday 12-1:00 p.m."
