Survivors include his wife, Gaye Blevins Green; a son, Charles L. Green III of Louisville, Ky.; seven stepchildren; four grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bob Green, Jim Green and Gary Green; and a sister, Shelia Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, Charles L. Green Sr. and Eunice Myrtle Burnside; a sister and an infant sister.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Violet Hill with Randy Bailey officiating.
