Mrs. Margaret Christenson DUNHAM, 79, died Sunday at 2:15 p.m. of causes incident to age at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank SIMPSON, 563 Pugsley Street, where she had resided for eight years.
She was born September 13, 1868, in Mount Pleasant, Sanpete County, a daughter of Neils and Martha Rearson CHRISTENSON. Born of pioneer parents, she came across the plains with a handcart company.
On January 22, 1886, she was married to Levi Sinclair DUNHAM, in the Logan Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. DUNHAM was president of the primary association of the LDS Church in Fredonia, Arizona, and active in the Relief Society in Mount Pleasant LDS Ward.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph S. DUNHAM, Cannonville, Garfield County; Samuel DUNHAM, Salt Lake City; three daughters, Mrs. Frank SIMPSON, Mrs. Sidney B. ELMER, Birdseye, Utah County; Mrs. Lloyd J. MILLER, Salt Lake City; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services and burial will be conducted in Mount Pleasant. The accompanying photograph was taken about 30 years ago.
