"Samuel McBee, 80-year-old Commerce man and pioneer of this district, died at his home at 5:45 o'clock Saturday afternoon. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate McBee; two sons, C.A. McBee of Commerce and Hiram McBee of Miami; and two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Staton of Quapaw and Mrs. Sarah Morgan of Joplin. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Commerce Baptist Church by the Reverend Mr. Bay of Fairland. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery. The Mitchelson Undertaking Company is in charge."
