Chris Eugene May, 37 of Gilbert, passed away at his home on Browning Fork on Thursday, February 5, 2015. Chris was a loving son, brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend. He had worked in the coal mines and loved to coon hunt and deer hunt. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Born July 12, 1977 at Man, he was the son of Harold Eugene May and Addie Blankenship-May of Browning Fork. Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Blankenship (Deceased) and Retha Blankenship (Deceased); paternal grandfather, Sebert May (Deceased); one uncle, Darrell May (Deceased); and a cousin, Shanda Gail May (Deceased).
In addition to his parents, those left to love and cherish the memory of Chris and mourn his passing include his sister, Stephanie May-Rasnick of Browning Fork; his niece, Savannah May & companion B.J. Johnson; his great-nephew, Ryland Kace Johnson; his grandmother Eunice Violet Carter-May (1926-2018); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Monday February 9, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a special service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Ward and Rev. Bill Cresong officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Family Cemetery at Browning Fork section of Gilbert.
