I left this life Feb. 5, 2015 at the age of 56 years young from a brain tumor I fought for 25 years. I was born July 26, 1958 to wonderful parents, Richard and Elinor Akins Cheever. I married the love of my life, my true soulmate and best friend, Dale Allen, Feb. 15, 1992. The years married to him were the best of my life. I loved listening to music at bedtime and laying my head on his shoulder as he rubbed my head for hours until I fell asleep. He spent his time trying to make my life happy. He and my wonderful daughter Mallory devoted many hours in caring for me with love and patience. I will deeply miss Rylie, Doug and Milo as being a grandma was one of my favorite callings in life.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. I loved my ward family deeply and had a firm testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ.
I am survived by my husband, Dale; four children, Ryan (Angela), Brandon (Lydia), Mallory (Chad), Michael; and five stepchildren, Greg (Rachel), Tracey (Shawn), Brett (Angie), Patrick, Lindsey (Ashley); 16 grandchildren; father, Richard; siblings, Leslie (Kevin) Marsh, Bonnie Sutherland, Scott (Flo) Cheever, and Joe (Denney) Cheever. Preceded in death by my mother, Elinor.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Midvale 6th Ward, 8171 So. Jackson St. There will be a viewing Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and again Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
