Mrs. Duke was a devoted homemaker and mother and possessed an extraordinarily generous spirit. She was a thoughtful listener and advisor. She was also an avid gardener, skilled decorator, and fantastic cook. She loved reading and wildlife, but got the most joy from entertaining and in later years hosting her children and grandchildren at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dr. E.B. Duke, Jr. of Forrest City, AR, and a brother, James Warner Fowler of Brinkley, AR. She is survived by her brother, Steve Fowler and his wife, Rhonda Culbertson Fowler, of Fayetteville, AR, three sons, Randy Duke of Dallas, TX, Jay Duke of New Orleans, LA, and B.Scott Duke of Memphis, TN, and his wife, Emily Fitzpatrick Duke. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Gunnar and Piper Duke of Dallas, Rylie Duke of Memphis, and several nephews and nieces.
