Rosa Jamison Bryant Beckner, 111, formerly of Roanoke County now residing in Franklin County, peacefully departed this life on Saturday February 7, 2015.

She is preceded in death by two sons, James E. Bryant, Sr. and Norris C. Bryant; step children, Mary Catherine Benedict, Everett W. Beckner, and Cleo Beckner.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law and husband Virginia B. and Kenneth Rutrough of Wirtz; grandchildren Norma Davenport, Charlene Bower, Rose McFarland, James E. Bryant, Jr., Martha Bryant, and Lora Miller; Twelve Grandchildren, Ten Great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Orpha M. Benedict, Frank S. Beckner, Henry Lee Beckner; Twenty-one step grandchildren, fifty-eight step great-grandchildren, ninety-one step great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Peters Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery, Salem. Friends may call from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at Peters Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
