Mrs. Anna Jane Coats Jessen, 85, 43 year resident of Kingston, Piute county, died of causes incident to age Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ella Barnson, Garfield. She had resided there four months.
A daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Ann Smith Coates, she was born March 16, 1861 in Lancashire England. She was a active member at Kingston Relief society, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include a son. G. Len Jessen, Kingston; four daughters, Mrs. Cleo Blood, and Mrs. Elva Nielsen, both of Salt Lake city,; Mrs. Eva Christensen, Kingston, and Mrs. Barnson, Garfield; two brothers, Joseph Coates, Salmon City, Ida., and Willard Coates, Kingston; a sister, Mrs. Emma B. Sudweeks, Kingston; 21 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jessen's husband, Ole Peter Jessen, died Dec. 2, 1945.
