MASON CITY: Funeral services for Lula J. Vaughn, 96, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Cain Funeral Home.
The Rev. John Atkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Easton Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vaughn formerly of Mason City, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 1984, in the Mary Henry Nursing Home in Lincoln, IL.
Born January 24, 1888, at Buffalo, KY, she was a daughter of John and Margaret Brine Bassett.
She first married Wilbur Bailey in 1904, at Buffalo, KY. He died in 1907.
She married Rufus Vaughn in 1912 at Hodgenville, KY. He preceded her in death in 1961.
Among her survivors is a great nephew of Phoenix, AZ. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Mason City United Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors Lodge 1065 of Easton, IL.
