Celebration of the life of Bernard "Lynn" Hamilton, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Bascom Assembly of God with Bro. Scott Solis, Bro. Don Herring and Bro. Bruce Lewis officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. prior to service.

Mr. Hamilton was born Feb. 4, 1957, to the late Bernard Edd "Buck" and Marlene Hamilton.

He went home suddenly on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at the age of 57.

Lynn lived in the Tyler area almost all his life. He was a very proud member of the 1973 State Champion John Tyler Lions football team. He later graduated from Robert E. Lee.

He grew into an awesome spiritual leader.

He earned a Bachelor of Science and a pre-law degree at The University of Texas at Tyler.

As a young man, Lynn was a route man for Coca-Cola. He later became a security officer working at People's National Bank, Kelly-Springfield and Tyler Pipe before enjoying a 19-year career at Borden's Tyler plant.

Lynn leaves behind his loving wife, Marci Lynne Hamilton, of New Chapel Hill; brother, Greg D. Hamilton and wife Cindy, of Tyler; nephew, Christopher Hamilton; mother-in-law, Emma Nugent; brother-in-law, Monty Nugent and Lindsay Heim; special family friend, Rex Power; and loads of other loving brothers and sisters in Christ who can't wait to join him.
