Kathleen Ellis, age 91, of Pleasanton, TX and formerly of Quincy, passed away on February 5, 2015 in Pleasanton, TX.
She was born in Elmendorf, TX on July 25, 1923 to William and Jessie Spivey.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wildes and husband Bradley of Winter, WI; grandson, Tanner Wildes and wife Jessica of Slinger, WI; and great-grandson, Marshall. She is further survived by brother, Allen Spivey of Garland, TX; sister, Juanita Crowe of Georgetown, TX; brother-in-law, Sibert Ellis of Quincy, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harold Ellis, and sister, Billie Ruth Powell.
Mom was the center of our family and her abiding love will be with us always. We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the staff at The Heights in Pleasanton for the love and care that they provided to Mom and to her family.
Arrangements are being handled by Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, TX and Hansen-Spear Funeral Home in Quincy, IL.
Visitation will be at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10 from 4-6 pm.
Private family graveside services will be at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy on Wednesday, February 11 at 9am.
