**In Lee's Lieutenants,by Douglas Southall Freeman
on page 248,he says"The troopers of Wickham were in
the care of Col,Thomas H.Owen of "The Third Virginia",
His ability was recognized by being Promoted to
Brig.General at the age of 32,but his Commission was
received a few days after the war.

** It is not certain where Col. Owen is buried.
In the genealogy of the Owen Family it states he is
buried at Mayo, His wife is buried in South Boston, she has
a tombstone, but there is not a stone there for Col.Owen.
