Bud was born July 4, 1937 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Harold Alfred and Virginia Bell Patterson Goodwin.
He was a graduate of Liberty High School in 1955. Bud owned and operated Bud’s Body Shop in Liberty. He was an avid biker and was a former president of the Midwest Percenters which he founded in 1965. Bud was a member of the Central Illinois Archaeology Association and had several articles published.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle “Shelly” (Keith) Freeman of Kenton, TN; a granddaughter, Candace Walker of Kenton, TN; 2 brothers, Bill (Linda) Goodwin of Payson, IL, and Jerry (Carol) Goodwin of Liberty, IL; 4 sisters, Sandra Edmonson of Plainville, IL, Teresa (John) Martineau of Liberty, IL, Karen Goodwin and Sharon Goodwin, both of Quincy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, a son Howard “Howie” Goodwin and an infant sister, Patsy Goodwin.
Graveside services: 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015 in Xander Cemetery, Liberty, IL with Rev. Terry Henry officiating.
