Honea Path – Leonard Samuel Ables, 80 of 55 Princeton Highway, husband of the late Jane Norwood Ables, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his home.
Born in Anderson county, he was a son of the late Sam Ables and Cleo Davis Ables. Mr. Ables along with his late wife Jane were former owners of Ables Snack Bar and the Kozy Korner, and attended the Honea Path Church of God.
Surviving are three sons; Ronnie Ables of Greenwood, Tony Ables and wife Tammy of Anderson and Gary Ables of Honea Path, one daughter; Wanda Wilson and husband Steve of Honea Path, one brother; Jimmy Ables and wife Joyce of Honea Path, two sisters; Mary Jane Brock of Honea Path and Bessie Allen of Greenwood, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter; Janet Ables, 2 brothers; Troy and Harold Ables, four sisters; Gladys Jennings, Zadie Rowland, Grace Caldwell and Nellie Phillips and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, February 10 at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Wilson and Mr. Steve Wilson officiating. Graveside services with Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating will follow at the Garden of Memories.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 PM prior to the funeral Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
