Kimberly Anne Abbott, 60, of Beckley, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015.

Born January 12, 1955 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nadine Surbaugh Abbott. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Abbott, maternal grandmother, Gladys Surbaugh and aunt, Mary Catherine Abbott.

Kimberly was a graduate of Auburn University. She was a former lab tech at Raleigh General Hospital. Kimberly loved people and animals and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her aunt, Mrs. Jack (Katherine) Holt of Hinton; cousins, Okie Thompson and wife Carolyn of Crab Orchard, Nancy Truman and husband Tom of Beckley, John Thompson of Norfolk, Va., Jerry Crawford of Beckley and numerous other cousins.

A funeral liturgy will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church with Monsignor Samuel Sacus officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Raleigh County Humane Society, 325 Grey Flats Rd., Beckley, WV 25801.
