Ralph Jennings Holland, 82, of 375 Mulberry Road, Ridgeway, Va., passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County, Martinsville, Va.

He was born on November 10, 1932, in Nashville, N.C., to the late Helen Dvorak Holland and James “Jack” Oliver Holland.

He graduated from the University of Richmond with a Master’s Degree from St. Josephs, Philadelphia, Pa. He retired from Miller Coors, Eden, N.C., where he was a supervisor. Mr. Holland was a member of the Masonic Piedmont Lodge #252 A.F. & A.M. where he had been Past Master and was a member of the Murdock Lodge #163 A.F. & A.M. of Danville, Va. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Anne Richardson Holland of the home; daughter, Karen Holland Carlisle of Fort Myers, Fla.; sister, Vicki Thomas of Tyler, Texas; brothers, Marvin Holland of Keyser, W.Va., and James “Jimmy” Holland of Castor, La.; and grandson, Christopher Hayden Carlisle of Fort Myers, Fla.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel with Minister Lee Ashley officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
