Staff Sergeant, 2nd Bomb Squadron,
22nd Bomb Group, World War II.

Killed when B-25D Mitchell #41-30573 had a
mid air collision with another B-25 over
the Dohudura airfield, New Guinea, during
formation training and the twin engined
medium bomber tumbled to earth, claiming
the lives of all seven aboard. The other
B-25 landed without casualties.

The airmen lost in the crash were:

1st Lt. Virgil D Fugler, Jr
