Richard P. Maloney of Satellite Beach passed away, Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Richard was one of the youngest to become an Eagle Scout in Cincinnati. He obtained a degree in electrical engineering and went on to own a very large and well known electrical contracting company, FMR Electrical Contractors Inc., one of very few contractors who could obtain contracts on public buildings such as the Marlins and Viera Stadiums. He mentored several electrical contractors and was the President of Brevard Electrical Apprentice Training( BEAT) for many years. He also founded Electrical Counsel of Florida. Richard owned Ace Hardware in Suntree.

He is survived by wife Bonnie Gordon, Stepsons Scott & Todd Hewatt (Kim), Grandchildren Julian, Callie, Echo, Bailey, Cole, Sophie, Hunter, Riley, Mckenzie, Brother Timothy Maloney (Janet), Sister Cynthia Maloney Piening (Richard) Five Nieces & Nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 5, 2015 from 5:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm at The Life Event Center @ Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S. U.S. Hwy. 1 Rockledge Fl.(321-636-5054) From 5:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm. With the Funeral Service to be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Holy Name of Jesus 3050 North Hwy A1A, Indialantic, Fl at 1:00 pm. Entombment at Florida Memorial Gardens will follow Memorial Service.
