Rev. James Samuel (Sam) Cranford, age 93 of Dawsonville, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. Sam was a loving brother to all of his siblings. He was a licensed minister and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillie Cranford; brother, Mac Cranford; brother and sister-in-law, Henry Lee and Ruthie Cranford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Daisy and Manuel Evans, Maggie Cranford, Mary Free, J.B. Evans, Dale Moore.

Survivors include his brother, Robert (R.V.) Cranford; sisters, Nellie Evans, Kate Evans and Susie Moore.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Benefield and Rev. Kenny Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, from 9 a.m. until hour of the service.
