Mrs. Emily Mae Barton, age 83 of Orlando, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. She was born in Rockcastle County, KY on December 12, 1931 the daughter of Felix and Irene Durham Reams. She was a retired hotel manager and waitress and was a member of Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Leonard Barton; her children, Irene and Gary Blair of Mt. Vernon, Felix and Mary Ard of Falmouth, and Gail and Gary Stewart and Kelly and Joann Thompson, all of Orlando; two brothers, Marlon Reams of Cold Springs, and Dennis Reams of Mt. Vernon; and two sisters, Linda Miller of Erlanger, and Mildred VanLandingham of Cincinnati, OH. Nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survived. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Daily and a sister, Helen Sakkinen.
