Dr. Clark A. Hall passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 3, 2002.

He was born June 20, 1922 in Wellington to James Arthur and Dora Thayn Hall.

He married Francoise Marie-Jeanne Fouché on September 13, 1945 in Dreux, France, where he was stationed during World War II. Later, the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

After serving in Europe during World War II, he attended the University of Utah and entered dental school at Northwestern University.

Clark practiced dentistry for thirty-seven years in the East Millcreek area.

He was a very active member of the LDS Church for his entire life. He served in numerous callings on ward and stake levels, such as Stake Young Men's President, counselor in several Bishoprics, Bishop, High Councilman, and Stake Executive Secretary.

He served two missions with his loving wife in the Paris, France Mission and as executive secretary in the Mediterranean Area Presidency in Thoirry, France.

He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice that he shared on many special occasions.

He loved being a missionary and serving the Lord. This was the joy of his life. Dad was a great example of service to his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Francoise; his sister, Patricia (Melvin) Christopherson; and his five children, Dr. Phillip (René) Hall, Kathryn (Ken) Webb, Anne (Dr. Rick) Clegg, Christine (Rick) Gunn, and Carolyn (Mike) Chappell. He has thirty-seven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings who died as infants, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holladay Second Ward Chapel, 2065 East 4675 South.
