Tom P. Ollinger died on February 5, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, H. Leo Ollinger and Marguerite Potter Ollinger and three of his seven siblings. He is survived by his wife, three children, three grandchildren, step children, and three siblings. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran, who served in the Central Europe/Rhineland combat forces as well as the occupational forces in Leyte during World War II, from 1943-1946. He founded Tom P. Ollinger Construction, Inc., which operated as a commercial, institutional and industrial construction enterprise completing many local landmarks in Baldwin and Mobile Counties. He served as a Director of the Mobile Water and Sewer Board and Mobile Chamber of Commerce, and President of the Greater Mobile General Contractors Association.
