Zolema Allred Christensen, 85, died Monday afternoon in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after a lingering illness.

Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Mrs. Christensen was born Aug. 19, 1888 in Spring City, Sanpete County, to Reuben Warren Jr. and Clara Alice Robinson Allred.

On June 3, 1908 she married Niels LeRoy Christensen in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Dec. 21, 1950.

She received her education in Spring City schools. In 1943 they moved to Provo. Mrs. Christensen was active in the LDS Church, serving as Primary president and Relief Society president. On her 80th birthday she was given special recognition as being on the of oldest Relief Society visiting teachers in the church.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Vernon L. Christensen, Provo; R. W. Christensen, Boise, Ida., and Mrs. Melvin M. (Betty Rae) Owens, Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two brothers and one sister, Lee Allred, Royal Allred and Mrs. Vero (Iva) Aiken, all of Spring City.
