Louise Hooker Crenwelge went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 10, 1911 to Eddie and Emma Prehn Hooker.

Pallbearers for the service will be her nephews.

Louise had two sisters, Lola Parker and Jane Williams, and five brothers, Roy, Ernest, Bill, Edwin, Malcolm, and Richard.
She married Edgar E. Crenwelge in 1929 in San Angelo at Trinity Lutheran Church. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary together before his passing.

Louise and Edgar had four children together: Chester Crenwelge and his wife Mary Alice of Irvine, California, Ervin Crenwelge and his wife Donna of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and Christine Baker and her husband Bobby and Ernestine Wilson and her husband Lewis, all of San Angelo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, a son-in-law, three grandchildren, five brothers, and two sisters. Surviving family members include three children and their spouses; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise was known as 'Grannie' to most of her family. Grannie read her bible every day. She was a hard worker and lived on her own until she was 99. She worked as an Assistant Supervisor at Shannon laundry and as head Dietitian at Trinity Lutheran School. At 75, she got a job at a dress boutique and worked at a restaurant with her grandson. The highlight of Grannie's 100th Birthday was the article Rick Smith wrote about her which included her picture on the front page of the newspaper.
