Paul Joseph Raynaud, Sr., 88, of Swansea, Ill., born Saturday, June 26, 1926, in New Orleans, La., went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 at his residence. Paul was the retired owner of Bay Awning Company in Bay St. Louis, Miss. He was an active member of First Assembly of God Church in Belleville, Ill., and spent his life helping others and serving Jesus Christ. His ministry included over 35 years as a Chaplain at the Harrison County Jail and the Miramar Nursing Home in Mississippi. Paul was also a World War II Merchant Marine veteran who received the Pacific War Zone, Atlantic War Zone and Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Bars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Henry and Eunice Elizabeth, nee Hirth, Raynaud; and brothers, Maurice Raynaud and Eugene Raynaud. Surviving are his wife, Joyce G. Raynaud of Belleville, Ill.; children, Paul J. Raynaud, Jr. of Gulfport, Miss., Dianne E. (Craig) Andrus of Sonora, Calif., David (Deana) Raynaud of Millstadt, Ill., Tim S. (Angie) Raynaud of Franklin, Tenn., Maurice (Janice) Raynaud of Hoover, Ala., and Michael (Melissa) Raynaud of Bourg, La.; a brother, Louis Dudley (Patsy) Raynaud of Picayune, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
